PORTFOLIO 5 - painting
Painting has been an art practice in focused periods - at the School of Design, during a year working as an architect in Europe (acrylics on canvas); renderings (pen & ink with airbrushed acrylic and watercolor) for architecture; and more recently travel sketches and Spirit -of-Place series (pen & ink with watercolor).
1973 - Swiss Paintings
While living and working as an architect in Switzerland in 1973 I completed a series of acrylic paintings on canvas. Some of these were single abstract compositions on canvas stretched on frames, while several were un-stretched tapestry-like pieces inspired by the landscape of the Swiss Jura.
