Spirit-of-Place / Genius Loci
This ongoing series of drawings, paintings, maps and prints documents Spirit-of-Place / Genius Loci at selected sites that I have found to be special places with exemplary qualities after visiting them, often several times over the years. The art in this series attempts to interpret the Context (cultural, geographic, & topographic), Scale, Symbolic and Experiential qualities, as well as Formal and Technical features of each unique Place.
